This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and actively oversee a portfolio of life insurance applications that are pending or stalled, with an initial emphasis on Indexed Universal Life (IUL).
• Comprehend the application-to-issue lifecycle and pinpoint areas where cases are encountering delays and the reasons behind them.
• Investigate intricate cases, ascertain root causes, and determine subsequent actions.
• Collaborate with underwriting, new business, policy administration, sales/agent, and carrier teams to eliminate obstacles and facilitate case issuance.
• Lead regular calls with carrier partners to discuss pending statuses, aging cases, blockers, and resolution strategies.
• Escalate cases that necessitate intervention from the carrier side or within the organization.
• Ensure precise tracking of case status, actions taken, and documentation within Salesforce and other internal systems.
• Utilize Salesforce, Mode, Hex, or comparable tools to research cases, reconcile information, and analyze trends within the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain reports on pending inventory, case aging, stages, blockers, carrier details, product information, and outcomes.
• Identify systemic trends across pending applications.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and systems teams to address system defects, workflow deficiencies, and process limitations.
• Suggest and assist in implementing process enhancements based on recurring challenges.
• Extensive experience in life insurance new business, case management, underwriting support, or policy administration.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products and the application-to-issue lifecycle.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize pending cases based on urgency and impact, diagnose obstacles, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.
• Experience in direct collaboration with carrier underwriting or new business teams to address outstanding requirements or case blockers.
• Excellent analytical abilities and the capacity to identify patterns and trends across the entire portfolio.
• Salesforce experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Mode, Hex, SQL, or similar analytics/reporting tools is a notable advantage.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience in carrier-facing calls.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to new products and carrier processes.
• Familiarity with Indexed Universal Life (IUL) products is a plus.
