Instructional Designer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Transform slide decks and source materials provided by SMEs into captivating, well-organized eLearning courses.

• Create and develop interactive content utilizing platforms such as Vyond, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia, or similar tools.

• Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and visual quality across all course modules.

• Implement adult learning theories and instructional design frameworks, including ADDIE, STAR, and Peyton's 4-Step Method.

• Convert static or text-heavy materials into dynamic and engaging learning experiences.

• Collaborate with content owners and subject-matter experts to convert technical or clinical information into easily understandable learning formats.

• Effectively manage timelines and communicate progress clearly with stakeholders.

• Handle multiple courses in varying stages of development, ensuring timelines are realistic and proactively flagging potential risks before deadlines are missed.

• Solicit feedback on course drafts and make necessary revisions to course content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design or a related learning and development position.

• Intermediate proficiency in adult learning theory and instructional design models, including ADDIE, STAR, and Peyton's 4-Step Method.

• Practical experience in developing courses using Vyond, Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or similar authoring tools.

• Strong capability to transform static or text-heavy content into engaging and interactive learner experiences.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage timelines effectively, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

• Experience in the healthcare sector (preferred but not required).

• Familiarity with UKG Pro Learning LMS (preferred but not required).

• Preference for candidates in CST or EST time zones for team overlap.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with SMEs and stakeholders through video calls, emails, and chat.
