This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Acquire knowledge of technology specializations while adhering to the guidelines, policies, and standards of UH.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to refresh content for online, self-paced, and instructor-led training modules.
• Design and create captivating, interactive training programs for both online and classroom settings focusing on products, processes, systems, and skills.
• Identify, develop, and implement suitable technology and instructional solutions across various projects for effective teaching and learning.
• Produce all training materials, tools, and resources for the curriculum, and work with training facilitators to deliver the content through train-the-trainer and teach-back sessions.
• Develop supporting materials such as exercises, activities, assessments, and multimedia (e.g., audio, video, simulations, role play, games, etc.) to enhance retention and facilitate learning transfer.
• Create and maintain learning resources and documentation, including project materials and course folders.
• Evaluate feedback from internal stakeholders and integrate it as necessary.
• Support clients and technology personnel in resolving issues related to the technology utilized in instruction.
• Aid in troubleshooting courses developed in UH’s LMS (Cornerstone).
• Address customer support inquiries and oversee helpdesk tickets for the applications you assist with and create content for.
• Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, educational technology, education, or a related field (Required)
• Over 2 years of experience in instructional design, focusing on the development of online, self-paced, and instructor-led learning modules (Required)
• Familiarity with company software, systems, applications, and network products (Required)
• Proficiency in using authoring tools (including but not limited to: Captivate, Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Mzinga, etc.) (Required)
• Strong understanding of design principles and adult learning theories (ADDIE) (Required)
• Experience with Cornerstone or a similar learning management system (Required)
• Knowledge and experience in uploading and troubleshooting learning modules within a Learning Management System (LMS) (Required)
• Visual design capabilities (SnagIt, Photoshop, Illustrator) (Required proficiency)
• Understanding of adult learning theory (ADDIE), including learning styles, distance learning theories, and teaching best practices (Required proficiency)
• Knowledge of instructional technology and adult learning principles (Required proficiency)
• Ability to interact and share information effectively with individuals and groups (Required proficiency)
• Strong collaborative work skills (Required proficiency)
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (Required proficiency)
• Capability to independently manage training and development projects (Required proficiency)
• Adherence to all policies and standards.
• Annual training sessions, along with the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures that address the appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
