Instructional Aide, Biology and Environmental Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assist faculty in evaluating learners in online courses by providing constructive feedback and grading support for in-class activities and assignments.

• Oversee and assess assignments.

• Help learners navigate obstacles within the Universal Learner Course.

• Participate in discussion activities on course Discussion boards.

• Attend several initial 1-hour virtual training sessions, along with additional calibration sessions as required.

• Respond to learner challenges and inquiries within the course shell through Discussion boards.

• Perform other responsibilities as delegated by the Learning Enterprise team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience in the designated area; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or training that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• A strong commitment to promoting educational equity for scholars in underserved communities.

• Outstanding engagement, team-building, and communication skills.

• Previous teaching experience is preferred, especially for candidates with experience working with high school students.

• Background as a tutor and/or in student success is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Canvas or a similar Learning Management System.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to thrive in dynamic or challenging situations.
