This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Establish new client connections and assess and qualify potential clients.
• Conduct formal presentations to agency governing boards, striving to secure commitment and funding.
• Advocate for PFMAM products and services across various client sectors in Missouri and neighboring states.
• Collaborate with client service, marketing, and product teams to enhance asset growth and onboard new client accounts.
• Oversee relationships with current clients and prospects for MOSIP.
• Assist in separately managed account sales and identify opportunities in multi-asset and OCIO sectors.
• Prepare meeting documents, review investment policies and pertinent data, and follow up with prospects and clients.
• Create and manage a proactive sales pipeline that supports annual sales and asset growth objectives.
• Provide weekly updates on the sales pipeline and engage in monthly sales reviews and quarterly meetings.
• Retain and increase existing assets while facilitating new client onboarding.
• Convey territory-specific market insights to portfolio management and marketing teams.
• Represent PFMAM and its clients at local government trade association conferences and events.
• Inform clients and prospects about market conditions and investment opportunities.
• Generally, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Background in portfolio management, sales, marketing, or relationship management with institutional clients in a B2B setting is necessary.
• Must possess FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses, or complete testing for Series 6 or 7 and 63 within 120 days of the start date.
• Typically requires 10 or more years of experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Missouri school districts and school finance, local governments, finance staff, decision-making processes, budgeting, cash management, and debt issuance is essential.
• Strong understanding and experience in capital markets is required.
• In-depth familiarity with the company's products and services is expected.
• Proven skills in relationship management and business development/sales are necessary.
• Well-honed analytical and problem-solving abilities are important.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in managing customer relationships is needed.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety protocols.
