
Inspection & Maintenance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Perform operational inspections and necessary repairs
• Regularly visit central storage facilities to gather and restock parts
• Ensure all inspections adhere to BS EN 1176 standards
• Utilize the Play Inspection Company app (or equivalent software) to record findings
• Conduct operational inspections and risk assessments
• Gather precise information for repair estimates (measurements, quantities, photographs, manufacturer details)
• Organize inspections efficiently, taking into account weather, traffic, and local conditions
• Communicate with customers to confirm inspection dates and times
• Maintain effective communication with the office team
• Identify opportunities for larger repair and refurbishment projects
• Perform minor corrective repairs as necessary
• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard
• Manage vehicle inventory and request restocking as required
• Conduct stock audits when necessary
• Keep tools, equipment, and PPE in excellent condition
• Contribute suggestions to enhance efficiency
• Assist and train colleagues as needed
• Adhere to company policies, including vehicle maintenance and code of conduct
• Work safely at all times and utilize appropriate PPE
• Experience in construction, maintenance, or service engineering
• Practical skills in woodworking, surface repair, painting, and mechanical repairs
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• RPII Operational Inspection qualification (or willingness to acquire it)
• Ability to travel daily
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
