This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.
• Oversee a team of inside sales professionals dedicated to selling clinical laboratory products and services.
• Foster a culture that encourages the mentoring of new team members.
• Drive commercial accountability within the team across all relevant metrics and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure the team nurtures effective customer relationships and identifies growth opportunities within the existing client base.
• Conduct account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports to inform business decisions.
• Manage performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Guarantee the efficient use of available sales tools and processes, particularly Salesforce.com.
• Provide performance evaluations and hold the team accountable for meeting performance metrics.
• Sustain effective customer relationships with purchasing agents, lab managers, and end users within the designated territory.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Inside Sales to investigate competitor and industry activities.
• Manage pricing strategies within the territory to maintain profitability.
• Keep accurate reporting and records essential for proper regional management.
• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all customer locations at all times.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally within the clinical laboratory sector.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in setting goals and achieving outcomes.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and the internet; intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
