This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives (KPI’s) by targeting new prospective clients and establishing new accounts.
• Recognizes fundamental business challenges and specific needs of potential clients by employing open-ended questions to reveal their needs, desires, and obstacles.
• Operates within a phone queue to manage incoming calls from prospects and initiates outbound calls for follow-up.
• Connects product features and advantages to the needs of potential clients.
• Develops and delivers impactful proposal presentations and responses that highlight the business challenges faced by prospective customers, the implications of these challenges, and our solutions.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends, including knowledge of the competitive market landscape.
• Proactively seeks additional training on new products and provides feedback to product development teams regarding customer challenges and potential improvements or new products that could address those challenges.
• Exhibits the ability to collect and submit comprehensive business information for underwriting and pricing purposes.
• Keeps precise records of all sales activities, including calls, presentations, completed sales, and follow-up tasks, utilizing Sales Force to ensure accurate records that optimize portfolio potential.
• Engages in negotiations for non-standard payment terms with new applicants.
• Anticipates and addresses potential customer objections and concerns.
• Effectively responds to unexpected or challenging inquiries, including questions about pricing and objections.
• Understands and utilizes the relationship between benefits, value, and price to attract new customers.
• Coordinates the implementation and delivery of Wex Shell branded fleet products to new customers.
• Maintains close relationships with customers and creates a comprehensive customer experience that involves consultation and analysis.
• Keeps in touch with all new customers in the portfolio to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Follows up on customer issues to guarantee resolution through appropriate internal and external resources.
• Plans contacts with potential and existing customers to maintain a proper balance between current clients and prospects.
• Builds a robust pipeline of new customers to sustain a healthy portfolio.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Strong sales skills and familiarity with Integrity Selling principles.
• Understanding of the fuel management industry is preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Sales Force, Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated success in meeting strict deadlines, quotas, and performance metrics.
• Strong negotiation capabilities.
• Proficiency in French is an asset.
