This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.
• Act as the main inside sales representative for designated independent insurance agencies.
• Conduct outbound efforts (calls, emails, virtual meetings) to promote carrier products, market appetite, and sales initiatives.
• Foster new business submissions and secured premium through agent engagement and pipeline oversight.
• Encourage cross-selling opportunities, multi-policy accounts, and the introduction of new products.
• Assist agents with quote generation, underwriting advice, and pre-bind reviews (within authority limits).
• Collaborate with field territory managers to implement agency growth strategies and sales initiatives.
• Monitor agency performance, opportunity pipelines, and activities in HubSpot.
• Educate on coverage, underwriting appetite, eligibility, pricing structures, and competitive positioning.
• Identify underperforming agencies and develop targeted engagement strategies to enhance production.
• Aid in the onboarding and ramp-up process for newly appointed agencies.
• Ensure all sales activities adhere to carrier underwriting standards, compliance regulations, and state laws.
• Engage in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in P&C insurance encompassing underwriting, inside sales, agency sales, or account management.
• Comprehensive understanding of independent agency distribution models.
• Proven capability to influence production without direct consumer sales.
• Strong skills in pipeline management, diligent follow-up, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in effective communication and relationship-building.
• High level of proficiency in CRM systems, agency portals, and rating platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple agencies and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection is essential.
