Inpatient Medical Coders, CCS, RHIT, RHIA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct a comprehensive review of medical records to accurately assign ICD-10 diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring the appropriate MS-DRG or APR-DRG classification.

• Effectively abstract vital data in accordance with facility protocols.

• Actively oversee and manage accounts such as Discharged, Not Final Billed, Failed Claims, and Stop Bills to ensure timely and compliant inpatient billing procedures.

• Regularly uphold a high level of accuracy while achieving quality, productivity, and performance standards utilizing 3M 360 or eCAC systems.

• Stay updated on the latest CMS requirements, CCI edits, HACs, and pertinent NCDs and LCDs, including the correct application of modifiers to guarantee clean claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in medical coding focusing on hardcoding for inpatient cases.

• At least 3 years of experience working with Epic and/or Solventum (3M tools).

• Possession of any of the following certifications: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA {CIC may be considered if all other qualifications are satisfied}.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related Allied Medical field.

• Strong understanding of Coding Clinics and ICD Guidelines, including those for newborn charts.

• Experience with MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX, and CC/MCC sections.

• Proficient in using 3M or comparable medical coding tools, and willing to complete an assessment.

• Must be open to working fully from home with a company-provided desktop.

• Able to attend an onsite coding assessment or complete it online strictly within the 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm timeframe, Monday to Friday.

• Available to commence work within 30 days of accepting the job offer.
