This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee medical coding for one of our facility clients, which involves reviewing charts and assigning the correct diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Ensure that high-quality standards are consistently upheld.
• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, or other specified coding classification systems in compliance with coding rules and regulations.
• Extract necessary clinical information.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification from AHIMA is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in inpatient facility coding.
• Capability to sustain standard industry productivity rates for inpatient coding.
• Proven ability to uphold high-quality standards of 95% or above.
• Proficient in technology (computer, VPN, MS Office, coding software).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess ICD-10 coding experience and have completed an ICD-10 course.
• Experience with trauma and highly complex cases is preferred.
