This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical record documentation and assign the correct ICD-10 diagnoses and procedure codes.
• Extract necessary data according to facility specifications.
• Oversee accounts that are Discharged Not Final Billed, ensuring timely processing of inpatient accounts.
• Keep informed about Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and Hospital Acquired Conditions (HAC).
• Maintain proficiency in using 3M encoder, Computer Assisted Coding (CAC), and abstracting systems.
• This advanced coding position necessitates RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CCA licensure.
• Must analyze medical record documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT IV codes.
• Work in collaboration with Clinical Documentation Specialists and medical staff to ensure documentation completeness.
