HCC Coding Specialist – Temporary, Full Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine medical records to extract ICD-10 codes, particularly those relevant to HCCs, RxHCCs, and ESRD models.

• Adhere to Medicare regulations, ICD-10-CM standards, and specific client requirements.

• Evaluate, analyze, and code patient medical records according to client-specific guidelines.

• Comply with Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules.

• Ensure adherence to all privacy and security regulations and rules.

• Organize, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet established deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retrospective HCC coding.

• An additional year of coding experience is required.

• A valid coding credential from AAPC or AHIMA is mandatory.

• Acceptable credentials include CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P.

• A quality score of 95% or higher must be maintained.

• Must possess practical knowledge and experience with systems such as EMRs, billing systems, and abstraction platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
