Multi-Specialty Professional Coder – Hospital Primary Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Precisely code medical records for evaluation and management services, ancillary services, surgical procedures, and diagnoses.

• Capability to work autonomously and adhere to project deadlines.

• Remain informed about the latest coding regulations as codes frequently change.

• Responsible for upholding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information.

• Adhere to HIPAA security policies and procedures relevant to your role, reporting any suspected or actual violations or breaches.

• Generate coding reports for clients and the AAPC Services manager.

• Requires extended periods of sitting while utilizing a keyboard and mouse.

• Consistently meet and uphold department production and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of coding experience.

• Proficient coding experience across various specialties, including all primary care specialties, anesthesia, general surgery, dermatology, and orthopedics.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, and internet applications).

• Ability to multitask while maintaining a sense of urgency.

• Outstanding customer service capabilities.

• Strong time management, organizational skills, and a solid work ethic.
