Inpatient Cardiology Coder, E/M & OBS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Coding Professional Fee Inpatient Cardiology

• Calculate ProFee E/M levels utilizing an algorithm developed by the company

• Identify critical care cases based on patient acuity

• Code CPT for procedures conducted in the office or bedside procedures carried out in the hospital

• Ensure the precise application of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes

• Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment

• Recognize the significance of documentation on code assignment and its subsequent impact on reimbursement

• Adhere to AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

• Follow all internal policies and procedures

• Engage in training and education provided by the Company

⛳️ Requirements

• All coders MUST possess certification through either the AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)

• Should have a minimum of 1 year of practical experience in coding IP Profee Cardiology

• Experience in E/M, Observations, and bedside procedures coding is required

• Familiarity and experience with systems such as EMR, Billing, etc.

• Must have a phone, reliable internet connection, and current coding references like CPT and ICD-10-CM

• Maintain a consistent productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or above

• Achieve a quality score of 95% or higher

• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook
