Innovation Principal – Lab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead projects that investigate and expand concepts relevant to assigned domain areas, ensuring they deliver clear business results.

• Assess various technologies, innovative business models, prototypes, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

• Keep track of assigned domain areas, evaluating their viability, maturity, and potential business impact.

• Cultivate domain expertise in emerging technologies, business models, market dynamics, and consumer behavior trends.

• Carry out concept testing, user research, and related experimental activities.

• Assess and compare products utilizing customized scorecards.

• Identify challenges and opportunities, formulate hypotheses, and choose testing methods to confirm assumptions.

• Create and present new project ideas and opportunities.

• Clearly communicate project findings to all levels of the organization, both in written and verbal formats.

• Foster cross-functional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Simplify complex and specialized topics for non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience will be considered.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 6 years of experience in relevant areas such as Innovation, Emerging Technology, Research & Development, Product Design, or another related field.

• Industry experience in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and technology is preferred.

• Extensive expertise in a relevant subject-matter area along with a broad understanding of related fields.

• Proven ability to advance projects amid uncertainty and to recognize when a strategic pivot is needed.

• Strong creative problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in creative environments within consulting or large corporate settings.

• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to write research briefs and deliver PowerPoint presentations.

• Capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals and articulate their business significance.

• Proficient in developing and sharing project pitches.

• Adept at giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback.

• For remote or hybrid positions, demonstrate high engagement in virtual settings, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.

• Must adhere to information security and privacy policies when handling sensitive personal information.

• Must successfully complete pre-employment substance abuse testing.
