This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• The Inkjet Field Specialist's main responsibility is to install, train, and maintain the graphic and textile inkjet equipment that Nazdar provides and supports.
• A secondary responsibility includes offering technical assistance to end users of this equipment via phone and computer.
• This role entails the installation, repair, and training on the operation of graphic and textile inkjet equipment sold and supported by Nazdar.
• The specialist must effectively communicate and collaborate with Nazdar customers at their facilities across the continental USA.
• When not on-site, the specialist provides remote technical support for this equipment via phone and computer.
• Collaborates with the sales team to identify new sales opportunities when existing equipment becomes outdated or inefficient.
• May occasionally participate in trade shows to set up, operate, and demonstrate inkjet printing equipment.
• Responsible for writing comprehensive service reports that detail completed work, parts utilized, and equipment recommendations.
• Offers advanced phone support to Nazdar customers regarding the use of digital printing equipment, inks, media, software, and finishing processes.
• Performs tasks according to established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
• Reports relevant information to the manager as necessary, including weekly activity summaries, field issues identified, direct report concerns, and vendor support matters.
• Assists with additional tasks as directed by the manager.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A valid driver's license subject to an annual Department of Motor Vehicles check conducted by the company is required.
• The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, product literature, regulatory documents, equipment schematics, and service manuals is essential.
• The capability to solve practical and complex problems within a limited timeframe is crucial for this role.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer graphics or graphic arts is preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of inkjet printing, including wide/super wide, solvent, UV, and aqueous inks, graphic and textile applications, prepress color control, software file output, and color profiling is required.
• Hands-on experience with wide format inkjet printers such as Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, EFI, or similar equipment is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of art generation, inkjet printing, and finishing is required.
• Inkjet equipment certifications are recommended.
• Certifications in RIP software and color management are recommended.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, is required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is mandatory.
• Operational knowledge of one or more RIP software programs, including Versaworks, Wasatch, Caldera, EFI Fiery, and Onyx, is necessary.
• Networking, internet capabilities, web access, and electronic file transfer skills are essential.
• A strong mechanical aptitude and confidence in using tools are necessary.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others to resolve issues is important.
• Knowledge of media/ink profiling and its effect on color output is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of electricity and the specific requirements of printing equipment in various environments is beneficial.
• While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to travel by automobile for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• The employee may occasionally be required to lift weights up to 75 pounds.
