This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide an exceptional claims experience for all policyholders and claimants.
• Verify coverage and assess liability for a variety of accident situations.
• Initiate prompt and courteous communication with all parties involved in a claim.
• Keep a diary/schedule updated for each claim in the adjuster's workload.
• Address claim correspondence promptly and with the highest quality standards.
• Gather comprehensive accident accounts from drivers, passengers, and witnesses.
• Facilitate vehicle repairs and assist with rental reimbursement processes.
• Establish and maintain a loss reserve for each claim within the adjuster's portfolio.
• Assess and resolve injury claims, ranging from minor injuries to fatalities, including those represented by attorneys.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of claims guidelines and best practices.
• Suggest potential product innovations and process enhancements.
• Effectively interact and communicate with customers, colleagues, vendors, and management.
• Participate in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of personal lines claims, court rulings affecting claims operations, current claims guidelines, and policy modifications.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Over 2 years of successful experience managing personal auto insurance claims across various states, with direct responsibilities including coverage decisions, liability assessments, payment issuance, recorded statements, correspondence responses, supervisor authority requests, and negotiating settlements for third-party bodily injury claims.
• Proven ability to handle claims efficiently while maintaining a high quality of service.
• Strong technical knowledge of liability and casualty principles.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new concepts.
• Open to coaching and dedicated to professional development.
• Experience in navigating complex personal auto claims to closure.
• Recognized as a valuable resource within the team and department.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while demonstrating empathy.
• Familiarity with claims best practices is essential.
• Naturally curious.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of approaching challenges with an open mind.
• Must be on camera during virtual interviews.
