Ingeniero FinOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Design and implement the FinOps model based on the cycle:

• Report – Optimize – Operate

• Define and implement:

• tagging policies

• showback/chargeback models

• budget and forecast structures

• Establish a governance model:

• roles and responsibilities (RACI)

• cost committees and periodic reviews

• Ensure alignment with ITIL practices and service operations

• Implement dashboards for consumption, costs, and efficiency (e.g., Power BI)

• Define and monitor:

• cloud financial KPIs

• budget variances

• Generate executive reports for clients and stakeholders

• Implement alerts and consumption controls

• Identify and execute optimization initiatives:

• rightsizing of resources

• elimination of unused resources

• automatic shutdown of environments

• optimization of storage and networks

• Define strategies for:

• reservations (Reserved Instances / Savings Plans)

• autoscaling and scheduling

• Execute quick wins (30-60-90 days) and a savings roadmap

• Implement automation for:

• scheduled resource shutdowns

• consumption control

• automatic tagging

• Integrate cloud tools with financial control processes

• Translate cloud consumption into value indicators for the business

• Define unit economics metrics (cost per service/unit)

• Support strategic investment decisions in technology

• Align cloud usage with operational efficiency and sustainability

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in:

• Cloud (primarily Azure)

• Cloud cost management / FinOps

• Proven experience in:

• implementing FinOps models

• controlling and optimizing cloud spending

• Experience in:

• continuous operations (not just one-off consulting)

• multi-cloud or hybrid environments

• Implementation of:

• tagging strategy

• showback / chargeback

• budgets and forecasts

• Participation in:

• ITIL processes (incidents, changes, problems)

• Experience with corporate clients or regulated environments in cloud computing (Azure, with AWS/GCP as a plus)
