This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Execute the deployment of bare metal servers in accordance with the specifications and agreements made with the client.

• Install, configure, and validate Linux operating systems, ensuring the proper functioning of core services, packages, and repositories.

• Configure network settings at the operating system level, including interfaces, VLANs, routes, bonding, and SSH, ensuring persistent and secure connectivity.

• Implement initial security measures and hardening (configuration of permissions, firewall, among others).

• Deploy, configure, and test Whitestack software associated with the implementation of bare metal servers according to defined requirements.

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles; standardize repeatable tasks.

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to verify the correct installation and deployment of physical infrastructure.

• Create and keep updated documentation related to the project's infrastructure.

• Analyze and resolve potential issues that may arise during the implementation of the infrastructure.

• Channel client requests related to infrastructure to the appropriate internal areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of recent experience in Linux server administration (installation and configuration).

• Experience in Cloud infrastructure services and/or Datacenters.

• Graduates in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

• Currently in the final year of the professional career.

• Intermediate Linux skills. Server administration (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).

• Management of disks, Linux networking (bonding in bare metal servers), Bash scripting.

• Configuration of IP/VLANs, routing, netplan, and connectivity validation.

• Basic Docker experience. Ability to set up and deploy containers.

• Basic to intermediate Ansible skills. Construction and maintenance of playbooks.

• Basic Git knowledge. Management of repositories: clone, push, pull, commit.

• Python scripting for task automation in Linux environments.

• Advanced written English (for reading/writing technical documentation). Basic spoken English (functional, technical).
