Infrastructure Solutions Engineer – Lead Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the enterprise Infrastructure as Code strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.

• Create, enhance, and manage scalable infrastructure automation solutions across various hosted platforms.

• Construct reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation functionalities.

• Utilize technologies such as Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or similar for automation development.

• Implement AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design methodologies.

• Address responsible AI practices, security protocols, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation frameworks.

• Design and create APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.

• Propel CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.

• Collaborate with platform product teams to enhance IaC adoption and transform infrastructure capabilities into products.

• Generate documentation, reference architectures, training resources, and enablement programs.

• Utilize expertise across compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services to deliver platform products and enhance operational resilience.

• Work together with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to shift from manual infrastructure delivery to an automated, software-defined operational model.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices.

• Experience in continuous collaborative pair programming.

• Extensive experience with Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or similar platforms.

• Proven success in establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation projects.

• Strong software engineering approach focused on maintainability, testing, version control, and automation.

• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review procedures.

• Experience in creating reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.

• Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams and foster adoption of technical standards.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to balance strategic insight with practical technical execution.

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred).

• Candidates selected for this position must undergo a background investigation.
