Infrastructure Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Under the guidance of the Manager of Infrastructure Operations, create, develop, and implement new platforms and patterns to reduce incidents and facilitate both customer-facing and internal features.

• Implement updates and enhancements to cater to Voltage Park’s internal needs as well as those of end customers.

• Collaborate with team members from Infrastructure Engineering, Network Operations, Customer Success, and Software and Platform Development Teams.

• Engage in the on-call rotation, which is fairly distributed among all team members in a primary/secondary pattern, transitioning from primary to secondary position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience working with Linux as a server/hosting platform; additional points for experience with Ubuntu.

• More than 5 years of experience with AWS.

• At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and a solid understanding of container fundamentals.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Terraform and Ansible.

• 2+ years of experience with network-attached storage management (using NFS, Ceph, or other protocols); bonus points for experience with VAST storage systems.

• Familiarity with monitoring systems such as Prometheus and the ELK stack.

• Knowledge of the gitops workflow.

• Software development experience in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages for automation and system/API integration.

• Strong foundation in networking principles; additional points for experience with datacenter-level networks, 400Gb Ethernet, and Infiniband.

• Proven experience in building and delivering complex systems.

• Ability to effectively navigate trade-offs between design, risk, cost, and outcomes.

• Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
