Infrastructure Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide the infrastructure team while maintaining direct involvement in architecture, coding, and operations.

• Take ownership of the design and continuous enhancement of infrastructure that supports high-throughput, low-latency workloads at scale.

• Spearhead the DDoS mitigation strategy and incident response, ranging from architectural safeguards to real-time management of active attacks.

• Drive capacity planning, cost efficiency, and performance optimization across the entire stack.

• Enhance observability, alerting, and on-call procedures to minimize detection and resolution times.

• Manage the infrastructure's security posture in collaboration with the security team.

• Find a balance between team development and process maturity while ensuring continuous delivery and addressing urgent issues when necessary.

• Participate in the on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in infrastructure/SRE/platform engineering roles, with substantial hands-on scaling expertise.

• More than 5 years of experience managing or leading an infrastructure/SRE team while remaining technically involved.

• Demonstrated experience in defending large-scale services against DDoS attacks, including mitigation strategies, tooling, and live incident response, rather than just theoretical understanding.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), networking basics (BGP, DNS, CDN, load balancing), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

• Strong understanding of Linux systems and experience in operating distributed, high-availability systems at scale.

• Proven track record in leading incident response for critical, customer-facing infrastructure.

• Comfortable balancing technical expertise with people management skills, as this role truly encompasses both aspects.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical trade-offs to both engineers and leadership.
