Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide support and enable internal business units by offering shared engineering services and functionalities, creating the tools and processes necessary for their success.

• Foster relationships with various stakeholders throughout the organization to comprehend and address their needs through projects that you will manage from start to finish.

• Collaborate directly with internal customer-facing teams to enhance their missions and take pride in simplifying their daily operations. Work alongside product engineering to gather the data required for informed business decisions.

• Enhance observability using metrics, alerting, logging, and telemetry integration.

• Identify and implement improvements for Continuous Deployment.

• Employ infrastructure as code to effect changes within a cloud environment.

• Work in partnership with other engineering teams to create cross-functional infrastructure enhancements.

• Automate upgrades for managed services and virtual machines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in CI/CD, secrets management, infrastructure as code, and observability.

• Experience with distributed systems.

• Background in managing services within a cloud environment (preferably AWS).

• Hands-on experience with operating Kubernetes in a production setting is a significant advantage.

• Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, etc.).

• Most non-front-end components of the system are developed using the Go programming language; familiarity with Go is a plus.

• Capability to provide and receive constructive feedback, along with the ability to work independently.

• Adaptability to the fast-paced environment of a startup.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
