Information Systems Engineer – Level 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the 90- to 180-day certification process for designated merchant and POS vendor portfolios.

• Develop, customize, and maintain technical test scripts tailored to customer hardware and software specifications.

• Diagnose and resolve authorization or script execution issues.

• Set up testing environments utilizing the eManager Portal, including configurations for test cards, prompts, and velocity limits.

• Work collaboratively with client engineering teams to ensure secure network connectivity through SSL, VPN, and Direct Connect.

• Implement AI-driven diagnostic tools and process automation scripts to enhance testing workflows.

• Execute SQL queries to audit test outcomes, confirm transaction results, and maintain data integrity.

• Issue formal Certification Letters and offer operational support throughout the 30-day post-launch stabilization phase.

• Ensure compliance with technical interface standards, including ISO 8583 Card Payment Authorization and proprietary sales transaction files.

• Address and resolve production authorization discrepancies, issues with POS terminal equipment, and inquiries regarding transaction data files.

• Incorporate AI and automation technologies into operational workflows to enhance scalability and minimize risks.

• Facilitate kickoff meetings, technical alignment discussions, and project status updates with external merchants and internal cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 3 years of relevant experience in payment processing, IT systems support, network interface testing, or technical quality assurance.

• Competence in understanding, interpreting, and applying technical interface specifications.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Experience in creating, executing, and troubleshooting technical test scripts and validation files.

• Proven ability to manage relationships with external clients and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Must successfully complete a background investigation.
