Information Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and advancement of the ServiceNow platform architecture, ensuring it meets enterprise standards and aligns with business requirements.

• Establish and uphold platform governance, which includes managing releases and implementing security measures.

• Provide architectural guidance for the integration of third-party tools into the corporate ServiceNow environment.

• Create, document, and sustain the information architecture for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and data governance standards.

• Lead the modeling and organization of data within ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SAM, HAM, SecOps, VR, GRC, and CSM.

• Collaborate with platform engineers, product owners, developers, and process owners to define data flows, integrations, and taxonomies.

• Assess and enforce naming conventions, data standards, and reference models throughout the ServiceNow ecosystem.

• Guide the enhancement of CMDB health, data integrity, and relationship modeling within CI class structures.

• Manage all integrations between ServiceNow and external systems utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, and other protocols.

• Design and execute automated processes for populating the CMDB and managing service relationships.

• Work closely with the CMDB Administrator to ensure accurate mapping of dependencies for upstream and downstream services.

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and IT support teams to gather requirements and provide scalable solutions.

• Ensure that all integration and development initiatives meet the delivery expectations of the Gainwell ServiceNow Platform team.

• Create and present SLA/KPI reports related to service and platform performance.

• Monitor IT support teams' use of CMDB data and offer training as necessary.

• Promote continuous improvement of ITSM processes and platform functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience supporting ITSM processes.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development and discovery tools.

• Minimum of 3 years designing and implementing integrations with third-party tools.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, XML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, and REST/SOAP.

• Certifications (Preferred): ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, PMP.
