Information Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable security advisor for designated accounts

• Align information security methodologies with client goals, regulatory obligations, and operational standards

• Assist in compliance, risk management, and enhancement of security operations

• Ensure client environments adhere to contractual, regulatory, and industry security standards

• Oversee security governance initiatives and support excellence in delivery across assigned accounts and products

• Maintain security plans for account systems

• Coordinate security metrics, reporting, audit preparation, and remediation activities

• Manage and report on security incidents, risks, exceptions, threats, and vulnerabilities in accordance with service level agreements

• Collaborate with Gainwell teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders to uphold consistent security standards and address compliance issues

• Functionally report to the Information Security Leader

• Support multiple accounts, products, or suppliers while balancing operational delivery with compliance expectations

• Work in partnership with client and internal leadership, information governance, and IT security stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management, auditing, security, technical delivery, or a related discipline

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Security, or a comparable combination of education and experience

• Familiarity with security governance, auditing processes, compliance programs, and regulated healthcare environments

• Experience with NIST 800-53, ARC-AMPE, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or similar security frameworks is preferred

• Possession of CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC certification is advantageous

• Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and strong integrity

• Ability to influence delivery teams and client stakeholders effectively

• Self-driven and adaptable to changing circumstances

• Comfortable addressing challenges in complex security and compliance settings

• Capability to work with diverse, virtual, and cross-functional teams
