Information Security Expert – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Enhance the Information Security Management System (ISMS) along with associated policies, processes, and controls.

• Prepare for, assist with, and follow up on both internal and external audits, particularly focusing on ISO/IEC 27001:2022 audits.

• Evaluate information security risks.

• Perform assessments of supplier security and third-party security.

• Provide guidance to business units, IT, DevSecOps, and management in a clear and solution-oriented manner.

• Assist with security incidents, vulnerabilities, business continuity, and disaster recovery efforts.

• Promote security awareness throughout the organization.

• Compile reports, KPIs, and materials for decision-making.

• Aid the CISO in the development of the Information Security Management System.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in information security management, preferably within a regulated or customer-regulated setting.

• Completed degree or vocational training in information security, computer science, business informatics, or a related field.

• Hands-on knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, information security risk management, and control assessments.

• Basic understanding or practical experience with relevant regulatory and legal frameworks, including DORA and NIS2.

• Background in supplier security, security awareness, and business continuity.

• Experience in cloud security or DevSecOps is a plus.

• Organized, self-reliant, and pragmatic working approach.

• Excellent communication and consulting abilities.

• Proficient in the German language at C1 level.

• Good command of the English language.

• Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are beneficial.
