This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The Information Security Engineer will oversee the development of information security tools and ensure that technology initiatives align with Trulieve's security standards and framework.
• This individual will be responsible for protecting company information and infrastructure by leveraging their expertise to evaluate our systems and identify, create, and implement additional tools as our requirements evolve.
• The Information Security Engineer will interface with business customers and actively contribute to enhancing Trulieve's infrastructure security by designing and implementing security technologies throughout the Trulieve network.
• Capable of leading projects, this role requires close collaboration with engineers, architects, and vendors to design secure, highly available production environments.
• The engineer must manage rapidly changing environments and swiftly adapt to technological changes to provide prompt and detailed solutions with minimal supervision.
• They should be results-driven and demonstrate strong practical problem-solving and communication skills.
• This role necessitates the ability to manage dynamic environments and quickly adapt to technological shifts for delivering immediate and detailed solutions with little or no oversight.
• The engineer will document the current state, conduct gap analyses, and establish a target state for enterprise-wide network security.
• They should possess hands-on experience in administering, tuning, and operationalizing Microsoft Defender (e.g., Defender for Cloud and Defender for Identity) to enhance detection and response capabilities.
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon is required, including endpoint deployment, policy management, alert triage, and incident response support.
• Responsibilities include monitoring network traffic for suspicious activity, detecting and responding to security incidents, and conducting incident analyses.
• Collaboration with IT and Security leadership and cross-functional teams is essential to develop strategies and plans for enforcing security requirements and addressing identified risks.
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise are necessary while working with both current and emerging technologies.
• A disciplined and systematic approach to all tasks is a must.
• The Engineer frequently acts as a subject matter expert for colleagues, requiring experience with various technologies, compliance requirements, and risk analysis methodologies.
• They will establish and maintain business relationships.
• The role involves implementing organizational policies and creating security policies.
• The engineer will align the company's strategic goals with ongoing initiatives.
• Utilizing their experience, they will enhance processes and mentor junior team members.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Security, including the implementation of security best practices, architecture, and security management.
• One security certification is preferred (GSEC, GISF, GPEN, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, or equivalent) or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Experience in leading the installation, configuration, and deployment of security tools, including taking on project management responsibilities.
• Self-motivated and capable of working effectively with limited supervision.
• Ability to build professional relationships and possess excellent communication skills.
• A solid customer-focused mindset is essential.
