Information Security Analyst, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as an N2 analyst within the SOC, performing security incident analysis, investigation, and response during the night shift.

• Monitor and correlate events utilizing SIEM, EDR/XDR, and various other security tools.

• Recognize threats and prioritize actions based on their severity and impact.

• Investigate alerts, scrutinize logs and indicators of compromise, and differentiate false positives from real incidents.

• Implement containment measures and assist in the eradication and recovery of compromised environments.

• Provide technical assistance to N1 analysts, directing ticket triage, management, and escalation processes.

• Collaborate with specialists, leadership, and environment owners as per the escalation matrix and incident severity.

• Document evidence, actions performed, and recommendations within tickets to ensure traceability and adherence to SLA requirements.

• Create technical reports and participate in root cause analyses, post-mortems, and enhancement plans.

• Assist in revising playbooks, operating procedures, and detection rules.

• Perform shift handovers, conveying current incidents, pending items, risks, and future steps.

• Adhere to the Information Security Policy, Code of Conduct, and guidelines of the Integrated Management System.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of information and access credentials.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networks, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in event monitoring and investigation utilizing SIEM, EDR/XDR, and firewalls.

• Experience with log analysis for Windows, Linux, and network environments.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

• Background in incident triage and response.

• Familiarity with analyzing indicators of compromise and preserving evidence.

• Knowledge of playbooks, escalation matrices, and ticket and SLA management.

• Willingness to work night shifts on a 12x36 schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• A graduate degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field is an advantage.

• Strong analytical mindset, organization skills, accountability, effective communication, and teamwork.

• Discipline in documentation and shift transitions, ability to remain composed under pressure, and a customer-centric approach to incident resolution.
