Industry Segment Specialist – Material Handling Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain technical and application expertise in the Material Handling & Logistics sectors, which encompass warehousing, distribution, conveyor systems, parcel logistics, airport baggage handling, and automotive material handling.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Lenze's product offerings and their application within the industry.

• Generate and present industry-specific technical content, value propositions, and customer communications.

• Act as a representative for Lenze Americas at industry associations, trade exhibitions, customer gatherings, and technical forums.

• Foster relationships with engineering and technical decision-makers among OEMs, system integrators, and end users.

• Assist in the specification of Lenze products and solutions for new applications and projects.

• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Account Managers to identify opportunities and enhance strategic accounts.

• Monitor and disseminate insights on the market, customers, and applications.

• Offer MHL technical expertise to Market Development Sales Engineers throughout the sales cycle.

• Ascertain customer needs, propose Lenze solutions, and progress opportunities.

• Track and report metrics pertaining to segment growth, successful specifications, and lead conversions.

• Develop and implement targeted lead-generation campaigns.

• Keep an eye on market trends, customer demands, and competitive landscapes.

• Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to create MHL content and resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Automation, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience is highly preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in industrial automation, motion control, machine building, manufacturing, technical sales, application engineering, product management, market development, or similar fields.

• Experience in Material Handling & Logistics, particularly with conveyor systems, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or automated material flow applications, is strongly preferred.

• Direct experience collaborating with engineering teams at OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and large end users.

• Capability to cultivate relationships with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and purchasing stakeholders.

• Solid technical background in industrial automation, with the ability to comprehend applications, identify requirements, and suggest value-oriented solutions.

• Knowledge of motion control, drives, PLCs, controls, or other related industrial systems.

• Proficiency in guiding technical discussions, identifying customer needs, and articulating operational and business impacts.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time for customer visits, trade shows, and training within North America; international travel as required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM; familiarity with SAP is highly preferred.
