Industrial Power Systems Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive evaluations of electrical infrastructure within commercial, industrial, and mission-critical environments.

• Carry out assessments of industrial power systems, electrical building inspections, safety evaluations, and compliance checks.

• Evaluate the condition, regulatory compliance, and reliability of electrical power systems in industrial and mission-critical settings.

• Review and analyze electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and as-built drawings to confirm field accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with NFPA (including 70B and 70E), NEC, OSHA, IEEE, and specific client safety standards.

• Perform arc flash safety assessments, hazard reviews, and compliance inspections.

• Conduct visual inspections and infrared thermography to detect hot spots, loose connections, or load imbalances.

• Execute operational checks on UPS systems and battery banks, reviewing maintenance records and runtime conditions.

• Provide concise, detailed written reports accompanied by photographic documentation, emphasizing deficiencies, risks, and recommended corrective actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Master Electrician or Journeyman preferred.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the installation, testing, inspection, or maintenance of industrial or commercial electrical power systems.

• Military electrical experience is highly desirable, especially for those with backgrounds in industrial power distribution, generators, mission-critical systems, or electrical safety programs.

• NFPA – Certified Electrical Inspector (CEI) is highly desirable.

• Strong familiarity with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, IEEE, and electrical safety compliance standards.

• Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings, one-lines, and technical schematics.

• Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers, hospitals, utilities, warehouses, military installations) is highly valued.
