This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Perform inspections, assessments, and investigations related to industrial hygiene and environmental health.
• Gather samples, analyze data, create reports, and suggest corrective measures.
• Offer project management assistance by formulating Statements of Work and Independent Government Estimates.
• Review invoices and aid in the procurement of industrial hygiene and environmental services.
• Evaluate abatement, remediation, and mitigation reports and work plans.
• Provide expert industrial hygiene advice for construction initiatives.
• Carry out investigations, assessments, abatement oversight, mitigation planning, and monitoring tasks.
• Address industrial hygiene-related incidents, emergencies, and facility health and safety issues, including travel as necessary.
• Conduct facility evaluations and risk assessments.
• Offer training and technical assistance to building managers, property managers, project managers, and other PBS staff.
• Maintain professional certifications and engage in ongoing education.
• Ensure adherence to federal, environmental, occupational health and safety, and industry regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline.
• At least eight years of progressive industrial hygiene experience relevant to the position's responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in industrial hygiene sampling techniques, laboratory analysis protocols, and environmental health assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF editing software.
• Current certifications in the State of Colorado: Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist, and Lead Inspector.
• Valid OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with an annual 8-hour refresher course.
• Enrollment in medical surveillance and medical clearance for respiratory protection as per 29 CFR 1910.134.
• Ability to uphold necessary competencies, certifications, and licensure in line with advancing industrial hygiene standards.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and written communication skills.
