This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee and execute intricate industrial engineering projects across site, regional, and global operations.
• Promote waste reduction and operational excellence by applying Industrial Engineering principles and Lean methodologies.
• Create advanced FlexSim and other simulation models to assess production workflows, capacity, labor utilization, material handling, and facility design.
• Direct the development of greenfield and brownfield manufacturing sites, including facility planning, line configuration, equipment arrangement, staffing, infrastructure, and operational readiness.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility designs, production expenses, process flows, and comprehensive value streams.
• Execute process simulations, operations research studies, and business case evaluations.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Industrial Engineering systems, tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Lead collaborative initiatives involving Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Facilities, Quality, and Program Management.
• Prepare manufacturing quotes and operational models for prospective business opportunities.
• Establish and standardize SAP and MES configurations.
• Assist leadership in assessing process reliability, profitability, and manufacturing strategies.
• Provide Industrial Engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
• Develop and convey Industrial Engineering metrics to regional and global stakeholders.
• Mentor, coach, and nurture Industrial Engineers and cross-functional team members.
• Formulate and implement Industrial Engineering best practices and disseminate insights globally.
• Facilitate Lean transformation through process discipline, data integrity, and ongoing improvement.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, security protocols, and safety standards.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• A Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is preferred.
• At least 12 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 7 years in Industrial Engineering or closely related manufacturing engineering roles.
• Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing optimization and operational improvement projects.
• Familiarity with new manufacturing site development, factory launches, facility expansions, capacity planning, and production system design.
• Significant experience with FlexSim for manufacturing simulation, capacity analysis, production flow optimization, and network modeling is preferred.
• Experience in supporting global manufacturing operations and cross-functional projects within a complex industrial environment.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of work measurement, capacity planning, process mapping, facility and workstation design, discrete event simulation, operations research, value stream mapping, and labor modeling and optimization.
• Expert-level proficiency with FlexSim simulation software and digital modeling.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing site development, production system design, facility planning, and manufacturing startup execution.
• Knowledge of global manufacturing strategies and operational best practices.
• Preferred skills in data science, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics.
• Financial acumen, including P&L analysis, capital planning, cost modeling, ROI analysis, and operational budgeting.
• A proven track record of effective change management and continuous improvement implementation.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in manufacturing.
• Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing process controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, SAP, MES, and other relevant engineering tools.
