This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Stay updated on relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and internal policies, including BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC.
• Handle a significant volume of indirect auto loan applications and communications, prioritizing complex cases and escalations.
• Achieve quality assurance, productivity, timeliness, service-level, and turnaround-time benchmarks.
• Assess quality outcomes and rework trends, pinpoint root causes, and suggest corrective measures.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including creating job aids, sharing knowledge, enhancing workflows, and refining controls.
• Provide service to dealers, members, and internal partners, managing escalations with prompt resolutions.
• Review application data and documentation, resolve complex stipulations, address exceptions, perform validations, and accurately update systems.
• Acquire, verify, and track DMV documentation to ensure lien perfection and accurate collateral recording.
• Collaborate with branches, Member Service, Vehicle Services, Dealer Relationship Managers, and back-office teams to address escalations and facilitate handoffs.
• Audit completed loan documents and operational reports for signatures, dates, disclosures, indexing, filing, and adherence to procedures.
• Offer guidance on lending policies, procedures, systems, policy interpretation, and documentation standards.
• Assist with email, Teams chat, escalated calls, audits, targeted reviews, onboarding, and training efforts.
• Recognize and mitigate fraud, suspicious activities, and identity theft risks, escalating findings as necessary.
• Conduct member interviews, execute financial calculations and proof-of-income analyses, validate loan conditions, and confirm readiness for funding.
• Prepare and perform quality checks on loan documents, monitor executed documents, clear conditions, and coordinate the disbursement of approved loans.
• Resolve non-routine exceptions, identify escalation paths, and balance compliance, risk mitigation, and timely funding.
• Manage shared work queues and provide triage and prioritization support during high-volume periods.
• Engage in video conferences, training sessions, meetings, huddles, and peer knowledge-sharing activities.
• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent is required.
• An Associate’s Degree or some college experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years in a fast-paced lending or high-volume loan-processing environment is required.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex loan files and handle escalations.
• Consistently meet quality, compliance, productivity, service-level, and turnaround-time standards.
• Advanced understanding of indirect loan processing.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, regulations, BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC, and internal policies.
• Familiarity with lending policies, procedures, and systems.
• Capability to review application data and supporting documentation for consistency, completeness, and compliance.
• Ability to resolve complex stipulations and address contract, payoff, proof-of-income, insurance, registration, and title exceptions.
• Knowledge of DMV documentation, lien perfection, out-of-state titles, dealer payoffs, lien releases, registration holds, and corrections.
• Proficient in performing financial calculations, proof-of-income analyses, member interviews, research, and validations.
• Skilled in identifying fraud, suspicious activities, identity theft, red flags, and potential loss exposure.
• Proficiency in using Outlook email and Microsoft Teams chat, and participating effectively in virtual work settings.
