Independent Sales Representative – Public Safety AI Radio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Engage with firehouses, police departments, and public safety facilities to present Mermaid AI

• Perform live, in-person demonstrations of our AI-driven radio solution

• Cultivate relationships with chiefs, officers, and municipal decision-makers

• Spot opportunities and guide deals through the entire sales process

• Participate in regional events, training sessions, and industry gatherings

• Represent Mermaid AI as the primary contact in your area

• Offer practical insights to influence product development

• A driven closer who thrives without the need for a base salary

• At ease initiating conversations within a firehouse or police department

• Excellent communicator capable of articulating technical advancements into tangible benefits

• Methodical and disciplined in overseeing your own sales pipeline

• Enthusiastic about promoting a novel category of AI technology

• Preferred Experience (Not Required, but a significant advantage)

• Background in: Public safety (firefighter, police, EMS)

• Experience in radio communications, RF, or telecommunications

• Familiarity with government or municipal sales

• Background in in-person, field-based sales

• Understanding of how public agencies assess and procure equipment
