• Manages legal responsibilities for assigned cases.
• Actively seeks out files referred to House Counsel by the Claims Department.
• Develops and maintains a documented strategy for managing each assigned case, including an overview of intangible factors such as the judge, plaintiff attorney, and aggravating circumstances.
• Provides assistance in preparing reports on new laws, legislation, insurance regulations, and appellate decisions pertinent to the insurance sector as needed.
• Keeps Litigation Specialists and Adjusters updated on case statuses, ensuring updates are provided no less frequently than every 60 days.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a trial attorney.
• Experience in handling insurance defense work is preferred.
• Must be a member of the State Bar and maintain all necessary licenses and continuing education requirements.
• The candidate must uphold the highest moral and ethical standards.
• Willingness to travel as required.
