• **What You’ll Do:**
• As an Immigration Staff Attorney, you will be an integral member of our frontline legal team, assisting clients in particularly vulnerable situations. You will manage a complete caseload, interact directly with clients, and collaborate closely with paralegals, support staff, and community partners to provide exceptional legal services and compassionate support.
• **Key Responsibilities:**
• - Legal Strategy: spearhead the creation of tailored legal strategies for each client, ensuring they are aligned with their specific legal contexts.
• - Quality Control: Diligently review application packets, declarations, and motions related to family-based petitions, consular processing, T-Visas, SIJS, VAWA, and waivers.
• - Team Leadership: Evaluate and offer constructive feedback to paralegals and legal assistants to guarantee precise and prompt document submission.
• - Client Representation: Perform thorough initial assessments to uncover legal issues and advocate for clients during Adjustment of Status (AOS) interviews with USCIS.
• - Administrative Support: Act as "Attorney of the Day," providing legal insights to the team and participating in operational meetings.
• - Engage in Consultation Day Events.
• **Requirements**
• - Licensure: Must possess an active U.S. Bar license.
• - Experience: At least 2 years of attorney experience in reviewing complex immigration cases (T-Visa, VAWA, U-Visa, SIJS).
• - Languages: Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with native or fluent proficiency.
• - Technical Skills: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and Immigration Case Management Systems (Camplegal).
• - Mindset: A growth-focused "can-do" attitude with an emphasis on continuous improvement and a keen eye for detail.
• - Workload: Expected to work 45 to 50 hours per week.
