This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate both inbound and outbound licensing agreements related to game development, co-branding, publishing, and digital media.
• Partner with Atari’s licensing team to create agreements that enhance brand visibility while protecting intellectual property integrity.
• Provide guidance on marketing and promotional initiatives that utilize Atari’s trademarks and copyrights.
• Assist with governance, compliance, and various corporate legal issues.
• Deliver practical, business-focused legal counsel to internal teams across global operations.
• Keep standard contract templates and best practice guidelines current and relevant.
• Act as the primary legal authority within the company for commercial and licensing issues.
• Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and business development teams to safeguard and capitalize on Atari’s intellectual property.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or its equivalent.
• Licensed to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in a well-regarded corporate law firm.
• Strong focus on commercial transactions and licensing.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating and drafting intricate commercial agreements within the video game or entertainment sectors.
• Preferred expertise in the video game, entertainment, or consumer products industries.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working cross-functionally and internationally.
• A genuine passion for gaming, pop culture, and the Atari brand is an advantage.
