This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Implement the stack: Install, configure, and verify EDR agents across Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints to ensure optimal coverage and reporting.
• Establish the pipeline: Set up SIEM ingestion by deploying sensors, onboarding log sources, configuring parsers and connectors, and ensuring data flows seamlessly into detection.
• Integrate M365: Connect Microsoft 365 / Entra ID tenants, set up audit logging, Defender integrations, and conditional access telemetry for effective monitoring.
• Set the traps: Deploy deception decoys and honeytokens to enhance detection coverage within customer environments.
• Assess risk: Configure and schedule vulnerability scanners, validate authenticated scanning, and ensure reporting results are accurate.
• Optimize and validate: Test each deployment thoroughly, troubleshoot agent and connectivity issues, and verify that telemetry is reaching our SOC.
• Document the process: Maintain clear records of configurations and onboarding notes to ensure deployments are repeatable and supportable.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Pre-Sales, Product, SOC, and Customer Success to provide customized, high-quality deployments.
• Guide the customer: Conduct kickoff and onboarding sessions, set clear expectations, and act as a technical point of contact during the go-live phase.
• Transition smoothly: Ensure a seamless handoff to SOC monitoring, provide post-deployment support, and integrate lessons learned into our processes.
• A customer-centric mindset complemented by practical technical skills.
• 1–4 years of experience in security engineering, IT/systems administration, technical implementation, or a related hands-on role; experience in cybersecurity or MSSP/SaaS environments is advantageous.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux system administration and IP networking, with a general comfort level in navigating cloud environments (Azure/Entra ID or AWS).
• Familiarity with one or more security tooling categories, such as XDR, SIEM, or vulnerability scanning.
• A strong plus if you have experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administration and security configuration.
• Experience with Elastic, Ansible, or scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automating deployments.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple customer deployments simultaneously without oversight.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of making technical concepts accessible.
• Inquisitive and proactive, with a knack for troubleshooting; you anticipate issues and take ownership of solutions.
