This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manages the execution of several concurrent small to medium-sized projects for clients across various sectors (K12, Corporate, and Higher Education).
• Leads the process of identifying client requirements and converting them into actionable operational plans.
• Assesses the client’s technical readiness and orchestrates software installation and configuration.
• Proposes, designs, develops, and deploys both standard products and tailored technical solutions.
• Designs, configures, deploys, and tests integration solutions between enterprise systems, including the D2L suite of products and various Student Information Systems and Human Resources Systems.
• Stays informed about emerging technology trends to assist in enhancing client learning solutions.
• Maintains knowledge of D2L Web Services APIs to aid clients in creating custom integrations.
• Develops and oversees project timelines and budgets, securing necessary approvals and sign-offs from clients and D2L.
• Plans, organizes, monitors, and reports on all project-related activities, including financial health, project status, risks, issues, changes, and deliverables.
• Conducts regular status review meetings with project team members and clients.
• Prepares and/or delivers project status updates to various management levels and clients.
• Establishes project control and reporting protocols and manages modifications to the operational plan, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Identifies and evaluates risks, their severity, and impacts by utilizing company procedures and methodologies.
• Develops and implements strategies for risk mitigation while effectively communicating risks to both clients and internal D2L stakeholders as necessary.
• Interacts effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration through the development of communication plans.
• Manages client expectations, understanding their perspectives and needs while aligning with D2L's interests.
• Encourages a Win/Win approach with clients, responsibly following up on commitments.
• Collaborates with their leader and project teams to conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
• Utilizes AI project management tools to improve scheduling accuracy, project trend forecasting, risk identification, and document management.
• Continuously investigates AI-driven innovations that boost productivity, minimize manual labor, and facilitate data-informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
• At least 3 years of experience in project management or implementation consulting, ideally in software/web solution implementations for client projects.
• Required experience in professional services or customer service project management and/or implementation consulting.
• Strong grasp of project management practices, procedures, and principles, enabling the analysis of detailed concepts and their application across various related subjects or functional areas.
• Familiar with the complete project lifecycle, from defining business cases and requirements to architecture, development, and implementation.
• Confident and knowledgeable about Information Technology, including systems development lifecycle, business modeling, and systems integration/implementation methodologies.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects effectively.
• Possesses strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Works proactively and independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client-facing situations with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
