Implementation Consultant – Pensions Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold pension calculations within the Civica pensions software framework.

• Analyze scheme rules, technical documentation, and legislation to implement calculation modifications and enhancements.

• Create and sustain unit tests along with comprehensive test scenarios.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on customer projects and software implementations.

• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment to achieve agreed project outcomes.

• Participate in customer, project, and technical meetings to gather and comprehend requirements.

• Assist with product testing and quality assurance activities throughout the development lifecycle.

• Generate technical documentation, user guides, and supporting materials for new functionalities.

• Provide support to customers utilizing existing applications in accordance with agreed service levels.

• Contribute to the future design and development of the Civica pensions software suite.

• Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of UK Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes and benefit calculations.

• Current knowledge of UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in reviewing and interpreting Trust Deeds, Rules, and other technical pensions documentation.

• SQL Server development experience.

• Capability to produce detailed calculation specifications and testing scenarios.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines.

• Experience engaging directly with customers and stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

• Desirable: Knowledge of UK Public Sector Pension schemes.

• Experience with CARE and Defined Contribution (DC) arrangements.

• Development experience in Java, C++, or C#.

• Experience working with Azure DevOps.

• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
