This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more states.
• Oversee the technical onboarding journey for new clients, from initial kick-off through to full operational readiness.
• Connect customer log sources, including firewalls, servers, cloud platforms, and applications, to COGNNA's security data lake.
• Create and set up custom parsers and data connectors to ensure accurate data ingestion and normalization.
• Resolve issues related to agent installations, log forwarding configurations, and connectivity on both Linux and Windows Server customer systems.
• Identify and address complex infrastructure and OS-level challenges that hinder data collection.
• Enhance onboarding procedures through comprehensive documentation and automation scripts.
• Provide guidance to clients on logging best practices and security architecture throughout the onboarding process.
• Work in conjunction with the Security Operations Center and account managers to facilitate a smooth transition for clients.
• Practical experience in a technical cybersecurity position, such as SOC Engineer, SIEM Engineer, or Security Consultant.
• Over 3 years of hands-on responsibility for technical implementation or support.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Linux environments, specifically Ubuntu and CentOS, in a production setting.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments in a production context.
• Proficiency with major SIEM platforms, including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic Search, or Google SecOps.
• Extensive knowledge in system administration, log management, and troubleshooting across both Linux and Windows systems.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
• Experience with Google Cloud and managing Google SecOps.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
