Imaging Applications Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the governance framework for imaging application configuration, validation, technical documentation, and workflow design.

• Serve as the ultimate technical authority for intricate imaging application decisions, escalations, and exceptions.

• Ensure a consistent, compliant, and scalable technical execution throughout imaging delivery.

• Enhance scalability, technical uniformity, quality, and inspection readiness in imaging application delivery.

• Spearhead the design of technical solutions for data collection necessary for clinical trial endpoint evaluation.

• Manage standards, governance models, and the technical quality framework for Trial Configuration Specifications.

• Lead the development of imaging read/analysis system configurations at the project level.

• Supervise cross-functional reviews of technical documentation and specifications.

• Drive process improvement and training initiatives, including SOPs, content standards, documentation, and workflow frameworks.

• Define process optimization initiatives with Image Management to facilitate efficient data movement.

• Identify, assess, and communicate risks along with mitigation strategies.

• Provide strategic guidance and technical specifications for electronic case report form design.

• Define and supervise test data requirements for data transfer agreements and readiness for downstream data management.

• Act as the medical writing imaging applications lead on designated project teams.

• Serve as the primary client liaison for technical configuration and specification document projects.

• Offer subject matter expertise for new imaging platforms, applications, and services.

• Train independent reviewers on imaging applications as necessary.

• Lead quality-driven process enhancements and programmatic system tools, such as PowerShell Scripts.

• Oversee user acceptance testing development for imaging read/analysis system configurations.

• Support Image Analysis and QC teams with escalated workflow QC and query tasks.

• Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of imaging application architecture, configuration governance, BICR workflows, DICOM/data transfer standards, and regulated clinical imaging delivery.

• Capability to establish business-wide standards and technical control frameworks across various imaging platforms.

• Advanced judgment in balancing scientific, operational, client, and technological requirements.

• Proficiency in influencing senior stakeholders and resolving complex technical trade-offs.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated understanding of industry guidelines and regulations, such as ICH-GCP.

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Ability to manage diverse tasks and prioritize workload while maintaining attention to detail.

• Capability to identify and implement process enhancements.

• Significant demonstrable experience as a senior technical authority within clinical imaging, imaging applications, BICR workflow design, or regulated clinical trial technology environments.

• Solid experience and understanding of medical imaging or clinical development within the life sciences sector.

• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, matrix-managed, multidisciplinary environment with cross-functional teams.

• Proven track record in defining technical standards and/or governance frameworks across multiple studies, clients, or platforms.

• Experience troubleshooting issues related to medical images, particularly DICOM.

• Familiarity with Multimodality Clinical Imaging Standard Practices.

• Knowledge of Imaging Read Criteria (e.g., RECIST 1.1, PCWG3, Lugano, etc.).

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Medical degree/PhD) or a related area, or equivalent project-related experience.

• Fluent in English.
