This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Primarily delivers pre-sales technical support for the creation and execution of intricate products/applications/solutions.
• Leverages extensive product knowledge to offer technical guidance to sales personnel and clients through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Aids the sales team in evaluating the potential uses of company products to satisfy customer requirements.
• May produce detailed design and implementation specifications for sophisticated products/applications/solutions.
• May develop a mini-application based on customer specifications to showcase the application's feasibility.
• Conducts impactful technical presentations and fosters strong collaboration across various internal Cisco functions.
• Provides expert technical and sales assistance to federal and national security clients.
• Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in team activities, offering consultative support to fellow Systems Engineers.
• Over 5 years of experience in Pre-Sales.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in at least one of the following architectures: Data Center, Collaboration, Security, Router/Switch/Wireless, SD-WAN, Manufacturing, and IIoT.
• Strong history of leading large, complex technology sales that require C-level executive engagement.
• Experience in marketing industrial networking, wireless, cloud, analytics, and security solutions.
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of experience.
• Possession of Cisco and non-Cisco certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CCDE, DevNet).
• Familiarity with competitive networking solutions (e.g., Moxa, Hirschmann, Fortinet, Cradlepoint).
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC).
• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. government security clearance.
