Director of Technical Solutions, NA – West Coast preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of Field Application Engineers who provide support to strategic OEM, Tier 1, and EMS clients.

• Implement technical engagement strategies throughout the sales process—from pre-sales consultations and DFM assistance to post-sales enhancements.

• Act as the main technical link between clients and the internal engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

• Develop and uphold best practices for technical sales support, which includes proposal creation, customer meetings, and design evaluations.

• Manage technical training and onboarding for FAE personnel, ensuring uniform global capabilities and messaging.

• Convert customer needs and feedback into actionable recommendations for product development, quality, and process improvement initiatives.

• Conduct technical presentations and consultations with key accounts, industry forums, and internal leadership.

• Collaborate with marketing to create technical sales resources, application notes, and customer-facing materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

• At least 12 years of progressive experience in engineering positions within the PCB or electronics manufacturing sector.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position managing technical, customer-oriented engineering teams.

• Experience collaborating with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and global design teams is preferred.
