Ignition Platform Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create responsive web-based solutions for manufacturing applications utilizing the Ignition software platform.

• Ensure that the developed solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and fulfill regulatory and compliance standards.

• Spearhead the design, deployment, and integration of Ignition solutions across extensive manufacturing sites.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, engineering, quality) to establish project requirements and provide customized digital solutions.

• Develop and sustain HMI, SCADA, and MES applications using the Ignition platform.

• Configure and enhance data collection, visualization, and reporting tools to facilitate real-time decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

• Offer technical support, troubleshooting, and user training for applications based on Ignition.

• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity, data integrity, and regulatory standards throughout all system implementation phases.

• Engage in system upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance to guarantee optimal system performance.

• Document system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or a related field) or equivalent experience.

• 5-7 years of professional experience in digital manufacturing, MES system implementation, and OT systems and architecture.

• Demonstrated expertise in deploying and integrating the Ignition MES platform within manufacturing settings.

• Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC, MQTT, Modbus, etc.) and experience interfacing with PLCs, sensors, and automation hardware.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and SQL.

• Skilled in interfacing with external data sources through SQL, REST API, BAPI, etc.

• Extensive experience in UI/UX design and implementation, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Ability to present a portfolio of work showcasing robust, clean, intuitive, and user-friendly designs.

• Experience with database management (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and data visualization tools.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Certification in Ignition or Inductive Automation technologies.

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 initiatives, IIoT, and cloud integration.

• Background in regulated industries (aerospace & defense, automotive, etc.).
