This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Design and implement resilient security architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Create and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud implementations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and address security incidents and alerts within cloud environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities and risks.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies to enhance cloud security.
• Design and oversee IAM policies and roles to guarantee secure access to cloud resources.
• Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
• Conduct periodic reviews of IAM policies and access permissions.
• Implement encryption and data protection strategies to secure data in transit and at rest.
• Develop and sustain data loss prevention (DLP) strategies for cloud environments.
• Ensure secure backup and recovery procedures for critical data.
• Integrate security into the DevOps pipeline to uphold secure development and deployment practices.
• Create and implement automation scripts and tools to enhance security operations.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to foster a culture of security.
• Gather and analyze threat intelligence to remain updated on the latest threats and attack techniques.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks tailored for cloud environments.
• Conduct post-incident reviews to extract lessons learned and implement necessary improvements.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of client engagement.
• A minimum of EIGHT (8) years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., CSA, NIST).
• Proficient with cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a mindset to think like an attacker.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Must currently reside in the contiguous United States.
• Capability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location when required.
