This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Designing and managing ICT and low-voltage systems, which encompass structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.
• Utilizing BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems alongside other engineering disciplines with tools like Autodesk Revit – this is essential.
• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of project requirements pertaining to scope, cost, and schedule for effective delivery.
• Identifying and facilitating the engineering deliverables necessary for projects.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for project scope of work, including revisions during the design development phase.
• Conducting engineering calculations, system layouts, and producing technical documentation for ICT infrastructure.
• Drafting essential technical documentation needed for project execution, such as design criteria, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets.
• Evaluating shop drawings and contractor submissions.
• Generating models and drawings utilizing BIM and CAD modeling tools.
• Assisting in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project development and execution.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise as an ICT / telecommunications / low-voltage systems engineer.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English at a B1 level or higher.
• Experience in ICT design, including structured cabling systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and security systems.
• Background in designing low-voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with BIM modeling tools and design software.
• Practical experience with Autodesk Revit – this is essential.
• Knowledge of telecommunications standards and low-voltage system codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively while adhering to project deadlines.
