ICT Design Engineer – Information and Communications Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Designing and overseeing ICT and low-voltage systems, which include structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.

• Utilizing BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems alongside other engineering disciplines, with proficiency in Autodesk Revit being essential.

• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements in relation to scope, cost, and schedule.

• Identifying and accelerating the engineering deliverables for various projects.

• Creating and updating project scope of work documentation throughout the design development phase.

• Conducting engineering calculations, system layouts, and producing technical documentation for ICT infrastructure.

• Compiling necessary technical documentation for project execution, which includes design criteria, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets.

• Evaluating shop drawings and contractor submissions.

• Generating models and drawings through BIM and CAD modeling tools.

• Facilitating coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams during project development and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated expertise as an ICT / telecommunications / low-voltage systems engineer.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English at B1 level or higher.

• Experience in ICT design, including structured cabling systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and security systems.

• Background in designing low-voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical facilities.

• Familiarity with BIM modeling tools and design software.

• Practical experience using Autodesk Revit is essential.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.

• Knowledge of telecommunications standards and low-voltage system codes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet project deadlines.
